Overview
Drift Island was developed by ECC GAMES, launched on August 28, 2025 for PC in Early Access on Steam. It is an open world drifting simulation and car building game. Players assume the role of drift master and missile car mechanic, crafting and tuning custom vehicles built for sliding sideways through challenging terrain, in this ambitious indie title. The game merges open-world exploration, in-depth vehicle modification and drifting competitions with side activities such as delivery jobs to earn money for upgrades.
An evolving experience is promised by DRIFT ISLAND as it progresses through Early Access toward a planned full release (version 1.0) around late 2026, guided by community feedback and incremental updates. Its Early Access release enables players to contribute to development through feedback while enjoying the main mechanics of vehicle tuning, damage management, and side-job progression.
